With a growing understanding of the ocular surface, eye care providers are developing a new appreciation of this complex system .However, for as much as we know about the ocular surface, we are challenged by the amount that remains unknown.

As part of our mission, the Ocular Surface Society of Optometry (OSSO) serves as a resource for current thinking and cutting edge information in ocular surface disease (OSD) education and management.  Via web-based education, on-line chat rooms and live CE at major optometric meetings, the OSSO will disseminate current thoughts on OSD, timely notification of novel tools, diagnostics and therapeutic options.

Be informed of pipeline products (Cyclocat, Novasorb, voclosporin, SAR 1118, RX-10045 (a new class of drug called reolvins), the corticosteroid EGP-437 delivered via iotophoresis (Eye GateII delivery), non-antimicrobial doxycycline, Prolacria, rebamipide, Ecabet sodium, and Vismed), and new diagnostic and therapeutic devices. Stay “looped-in” and in touch with your colleagues and discuss cases, ask questions or gather opinions on ideas, case management, or clinical conundrums.

We at the OSSO encourage you to belong to our dynamic group.  Your membership to the OSSO will reap many rewards and we hope to receive your application soon!
